The Desert Kids Project

We are a group of young people determined to taking action for a greater cause. Our vision and mission are revitalizing the deserted lands. Our team has been doing research on plants that not only provide shade but also have the ability to capture and retain rainwater, mist and dew water locally in the ground and eventually improves the aquifers in wastelands and deserted lands. Our goal is to develop a self-sustained agricultural system that would be more in harmony with the environment. A system in of itself would dramatically reduce the use of water. Conserve rain, mist and dew water locally in the ground. Moreover, it would have the ability to reuse gray water for agricultural use to enrich the soil organically to eventually turn wasteland and degraded land into fertile productive land. We have spent years studying drought and heat tolerant plant species and learn techniques and technologies that could be applied to all regions of the United States especially the desert and wasteland regions. Our vision is to inspire, encourage and include like-minded youngsters to join this mission starting from the US , hopefully spreading the idea to the whole world. Together we can make deserts bloom!

Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
